China Glaze In the Limelight

Happy Wednesday Readers!

I'm just gonna jump right in here and show you my very first China Glaze EVER!  As I may have mentioned green is one of my favorite colors, and I especially like to wear neons on my toes so this one really caught my eye.
The photos just don't do this color justice.  These look a little milky, but it's definitely an omg!-my-eyes-hurt-and-I-think-I've-gone-completely-blind kind of bright.  I think this is one of those polishes that deserves a home in everyone's collection.

China Glaze White on White

Good Afternoon Readers!

I was reading a lovely blog yesterday called An Amateur's Nail Obsession, and she posted Purity by Zoya.  She was asking about any other "perfect" white polishes out there, so this is kind of my blog response.  China Glaze White on White.
This is 3 coats and one top coat of Hard Candy Mattely In Love.  I don't think I'll ever get over the matte look.

I haven't tried Zoya Purtiy so I can't say for sure which is better.  I do know that I bought this one a few months back and I only have half a bottle left.  I'm crazy over a white mani.

So Courteney, let me know what you think. (:

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Ruby Kisses Silver Bling

Good Afternoon Fellow Bloggers!

It's been awhile since I wore this little beauty, but I have an extremely important interview today at 11, and I wanted to have a really great color on my nails.  Silver Bling is a silver foil with a fantastic formula.  It was opaque in one coat but a little streaky so I did one more.

I thought about doing some stamping or rhinestones or something, but I think it's pretty awesome on it's own. And for $2, what a steal!

Sally Hansen Snappy Sprinkles

Just a quick post today of yesterday's mani with glitter.  So let me tell you a little anecdote.

I went to Ulta some time last year, around my birthday I think.  There was this beautiful bar glitter from Sally Hansen calling my name.  It was the last one.  However, I had already picked up at least 5 other polishes and some other cosmetics, and I had to narrow them down because, let's face it, I didn't need them all, and I sure couldn't afford them all.  I don't remember what I decided on, but I know that I put Snappy Sprinkles back and then regretted it as soon as I got home.

I've been to Ulta many times since then and had completely forgot about the glitter until yesterday.  There were so many polishes on clearance, so of course I had to check them out.  And as I was rifling through them all, there was that beautiful bar glitter from Sally Hansen calling my name again, but this time, half the price.  She is now sitting in my polish collection and is layered on my China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy.

Snappy Sprinkles is peach and mint bar glitter in a clear base.  The mint is just "sprinkled" in.  LOL.  Then to make it even more amazing, I added Essie Matte About You.

I'm not sure FFF is the best polish to convey the colors in the glitter, but I'm going to keep playing with it.

China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy Revisited

I know I've been "revisiting" a few polishes lately, but ever since Christmas when I got my new camera, I realized all my old photos were crap.  (:  I love this color so much.  It has some kind of inner glow that makes my skin look more tan.  I'll show you.  FFF is a neon coral creme that covered in two coats.
The formula is a little thick, but I'm not sure if that was just my bottle.  I added a few drops of polish thinner, but it still seems a little goopy.  It's storming outside today so no sun.  This is without a top coat.  I like that it doesn't finish super glossy.  I like the plastic-y look.  Everytime I wear this it makes me really want the Orly Plastix collection.  I must find these.

Pure Ice In the Mood

LOL!  I love the name of this one.  Everytime I see it I laugh.  My friend, Robin, gave this to me in October for my birthday, and I remember her saying that she only picked them (In the Mood and Scandal) because the names were "muy sexual!".  I don't think the name is conveyed in the color, but it is pretty nonetheless.

In the Mood is a sky blue shimmer polish with silver glass flecks.  It is so transparent, even after 3 coats, so I layered 2 coats over 1 coat of Orly Snowcone.  I think it would be great layered over a navy or a plum polish; definitely black.

butterLONDON The Black Knight

Hello Lovely Ladies!

Today polish is The Black Knight by butterLONDON.  This one was a beast for me to find, but luckily my friends bought me an Ulta GC, and when I went to use it, there was one little bottle of TBK hidden behind the display.  So to the hopeful who hid the polish, sorry for taking the last bottle of TBK, but you snooze, you lose!

I don't think there is any need for explanation on these photos.  The polish is nuts and the glitter is amazing.  Enough said!

Zoya Mitzi and BM Stamp

Hey Fellow Bloggers,

I trust you all had a lovely Saturday.  I was out late Friday night baking cupcakes at a friend's house, so I slept in until 10:30 and, man, it was nice.  I don't think I've slept past 8am in a while.  Then after I woke up, there was a knock at the door, and low and behold...FedEx!  My nail mail had arrived!

I received a package from Zoya and Ulta.  Then today I went to Goodwill and I was looking in the glass case, I saw a little bucket of cosmetics with one little gem inside...OPI Big Apple Red.  Who would donate that little lovely?

Zoya Minka with Konad Stamp

Hey Guys!

So today is just a quick post.  I told you yesterday that I had an idea for a really cute mani with Zoya Minka, and it came out way better than I expected.  I stamped Minka with Konad plate m13 using Zoya Lolly for the pink rose and Jesse's Girl All Things Girly from the Julie G collection for the peach rose.  Then I just added a few random clear rhinestones.  Check it out!
Woo!  I love it.  I got the idea Rebecca Likes Nails (HERE) so I really hope it compares.

Zoya Minka

Alright so this one is a new one for me.  I don't do a lot of nudes on my nails.  Only on my toes, but today I have one.  It's Zoya Minka, and I'm still not sure how I feel about it. It has a very slight shimmer that I couldn't capture on camera.  I think it will grow on me though so let's see it.

So besides my nasty cuticles, what do you think?  I don't know, but I'm going to play around with it more.  I have a really cute stamp mani in mind.  It's nothing crazy and definitely not original.  I let you know in tomorrow's post who inspired me.
