Rainbow Gradient?! Yes, Please!

Yes you read it right!  I have a full on rainbow on my nails tonight.  I have been wanting to do a vertical gradient for awhile but I didn't just want to do the same colors on each nail so I decided to use them all.  I mean, why not?!  Rainbows are fun!
Here it is!  It's super bright and I love it.  I think it's so fun and quirky...like me!  I don't really think I need to explain how I did it seeing as how almost everyone knows how to create a gradient by now.  I didn't do the sponge method though.  I just did it using the polish brushes.
As you can see some of the colors didn't blend as well as I had hoped like neon green and teal blue on my middle finger, but whatever!  You can't tell me that it looks bad.  lol  I did this entire mani over a white base if you were wondering how they all got so bright.  I had too since three of them are jellies.
Are you ready for the list of polishes I used?  It's long.  There are ten of them.  The reason for there being ten is that I used all these same polishes on my toes (which you will see below so if you don't like feet then don't read any further than the polish list) for an ombrè pedicure.
WHAT I USED:
Orly Oh Cabana Boy - pink
popBeauty Ablaze - neon orange
OPI Y'all Come Back Ya Hear? - orange
Spoiled Did I Dye It Too Blonde? - yellow
China Glaze I'm With the Lifeguard - lighter neon green
China Glaze Kiwi Cool-ada - darker neon green
butterLONDON Slapper - teal
China Glaze Blue Sparrow - blue
China Glaze Creative Fantasy - darker purple
China Glaze Señorita Bonita  - lighter purple

Next is my pedi pic...look away if you aren't a foot person (who really is a foot person though).  I promise they aren't bad.  (:
Thanks for checking in tonight.  I had so much fun doing this mani and you better believe I'm going to stamp over this.  lol

butterLONDON No More Waity, Katie

Hey Everyone!

Happy Sunday!  I hope it's been good to you all so far.  I'm trying to catch up on my shows today, and so I'm watching Grey's Anatomy right now.  I've cried about 6 times already.  It gets me everytime.  But besides me being a whiny butt, I also have butterLONDON No More Waity, Katie.

I have had this forever it seems.  It was my first butterLONDON polish ever.  I think it was a pretty good choice.  I wonder if anyone wore this while they watched the Royal Wedding?  NMWK is a grayed out lavender/lilac with lavender glitter.  I really hate how it feels when it dries, but I LOVE the color and the glitter, so I guess I have to sacrifice something.

Today is gonna be a lazy day.

butterLONDON Slapper Layering Frenzy

Hello! Hello!  And Happy March!

I'm really happy with this purchase so I must show you how pretty it is, then how I went crazy.
I hate how I couldn't get it to photograph correctly, but it definitely has more green in it.  It's a teal creme that is opaque in 2 coats and the photos are with no top coat.  It dries fairly shiny which is nice.

I just couldn't resist adding some glitter to this so I brushed on butterLONDON Tart With a Heart.
Ooh!  How pretty?!  Tart With a Heart is described by butterLONDON as a "pale pink parade of glitter [that] carries a dash of grey".  Ok it does look nude in the bottle, but if you get close, there is a pink base with gold micro glitter and larger iridescent glitter.

Maybe I'll even add shatter or crackle.  Who knows?
Thanks for reading and happy blogging!

Tokyo Mani Inspired by JulieG

I was going to post this tomorrow or the next day, but I couldn't wait to show you.  Ok I know these are obnoxious and gaudy, BUT I LOVE THEM!  This is my "blog response" to YouTube's JulieG and her Girly Tokyo Party Nails.  Check these bad boys out!
Yes, I know they are crazy, but girls in Tokyo wear their nails like this everyday.  So I started off with CG Lighthouse and used tape and butterLONDON Slapper in different directions.  I added some black dots using a Kiss Nail Artist pen.  Then came the fun part.

I found these Kiss Nail Artist 3D Charms which comes with bows, flowers, and even ice cream shapes.  They have a little tube of super glue on the back of each one which works way better than using clear polish to apply them.  So I just picked some bows and rhinestones and started applying them randomly on each nail and this is what became of that.

I never thought I would enjoy a crazy 3D mani like this, but I don't think I ever want to take it off.  It's so off-the-wall and each design is original.  The best part is that the charms are reuseable!

I really hope you all enjoy this mani as much as I do, and I would love, love, LOVE to see someone else attempt a Tokyo inspired mani.

butterLONDON The Black Knight

Hello Lovely Ladies!

Today polish is The Black Knight by butterLONDON.  This one was a beast for me to find, but luckily my friends bought me an Ulta GC, and when I went to use it, there was one little bottle of TBK hidden behind the display.  So to the hopeful who hid the polish, sorry for taking the last bottle of TBK, but you snooze, you lose!

I don't think there is any need for explanation on these photos.  The polish is nuts and the glitter is amazing.  Enough said!

Splatter Paint and My Latest Haul

Hello All!

This post is probably going to be really short because my BF is coming to pick me up for dinner and I don't have a lot of time.  So anyway, he just got back from out of town, and while he was gone I went shopping to make myself feel better and to not be so lonely.  Here is what I picked up:
First of all, excuse the mess and the background.  lol.  Anyway, I went to Ulta and found some great deals.  From L to R is Essence What  Do U Think?, Ulta Pro Green With Envy, Sally Hansen Sequin Scandal, and then a great butterLONDON gift set with Powder Room scented polish remover (smells like baby powder...terrible) and No More Waity, Katie.

After all these great items I got, I came home and used none of them.  I decided to save them for a special day and do a splatter paint manicure instead.  I've been seeing them a lot lately and they all look amazing, so I thought I'd try my hand at it.  Here is what was created:

WHAT I USED:
Nail Life base coat
Hard Candy Beetle - 2 coats
1st layer splatter - Orly Snowcone
2nd layer splatter - CG Liquid Leather
SV top coat

I was really pleased with myself and all my friends want me to do them too.  We'll see.  I loved how the cream colors complimented the Hard Candy duo-chrome and toned it down a little.  Thanks to whoever created the splatter paint mani.  I love it!

It looks like this post wasn't so short after all.  Have a great Thursday!
