Revlon Perfumerie Autumn Spice

When I was in Louisiana I found some great polishes that I haven't seen here in Houston. One of them was a scented Revlon polish called Autumn Spice.

Oh I also left my camera there. Whomp whomp!  So until I get it back in a couple of days I have to use my iPhone camera. 

Anyway this polish is beautiful. It's very Fall. It applied like a dream in two coats. The copper shimmer really glows in the right light. I know a lot of people aren't into scented polish but the smell on this is very faint.  It smells really great but it does fade in about 24 hours so I'm sure you all could definitely stand to wait that long for such a gorgeous color.

Textured Neutral Ombre

Since I'm getting my mani motivation back but I'm still creatively blocked, I thought I should "cleanse my palate" so to speak with a nice neutral mani.  However, I couldn't just go creme, I had to go sand.  I mean it is beach weather outside.

From pinky to pointer is OPI Solitaire, Zoya Godiva, OPI Honey Rider, and OPI What Wizardry is This?.

On my thumb is Zoya Dahlia...still one of my favorite textured polishes to date.  I don't have much to say on their formulas or anything.  You can read my post on the Zoya PixieDusts HERE and my post for OPI What Wizardry is This? HERE.  I promise I'm not being lazy by linking you to old posts.  I just feel as though you can get all the info from there.

With OPI Solitaire, I am keeping that to myself as well.  lol Only because I am reswatching the Bond Girls collection (I hated my first swatches) and then when I am satisfied I will post the whole collection here.  I know you all may be tired of seeing them on other blogs right now anyway.

Oh and speaking of textured polish, who else is SUPER DUPER excited about the Fall 2013 Zoya PixieDusts?  I am freaking out.  If you haven't seen a press release on the other blogs, just keep looking.  I'll give you a little peek though.

OPI What Wizardry Is This?

Ok so I first off want to apologize for going "missing" for two days, but I had some personal issues that took precedence over other aspects of my life.  I was finally able to pull myself together this morning and push it all back down inside.  Don't worry.  I'll be okay.  I really wanted to come back and give you all an amazing post, but it just wasn't happening.  Do you ever have those days where it looks like you've never painted a nail a day in your life?  Everything you do looks like crap.  That's today.  Oh and somehow I cut my cuticle so everytime I try to fix or change the polish on my ring finger, it burns like hell!  Soooo I had to dig into my stockpile of photos and I found a good one.

Woot!  I love, love, LOVE this polish.  Yes.  Another sand.  I love my textured polish.  This is OPI What Wizardry Is This? from The Great and Powerful Oz collection.  I don't know what I think about the movie preview, but the collection is pretty.  I don't think I'm going to buy any of them (besides The Lights of Emerald City...I already bought it) because I already own colors that are very similar.  

WWIT? is a dark bronze-y brown shimmer with olive green undertones.  This polish, unlike the previous OPI sands, has very little shimmer on the nail when it dries but it still isn't completely shimmer-less.  It definitely catches the light.  It does dry matte like all the others, but I learned something really fun.  I know a few ladies that don't really like the matte look but still want to try the textured trend.  All you need to do is wait for the polish to dry completely and then add a thin layer of your favorite top coat.  This will still show the texture but leave your manicure looking fresh and glossy!

I was pleased to contribute a post for Danielle’s lovely readers when she asked me! I thought I’d share one of my favorite drugstore brands with you – a shimmer/metallic along with one of their newest glitter polishes. The brand? Pure Ice! Great formula for $1.97? Yes please!

So first up, I have Pure Ice Magic – it’s a deep copper shimmer/metallic that was fully opaque in ONE coat but I used two just out of habit. No issues to report whatsoever. No top coat for the photos.

 And then after 2 days, I did an accent nail using Pure Ice Meet Me in Monaco over my existing Magic mani. As you can see, even with dishes and dogs and regular life, there is minimal to no tip wear and absolutely no chipping. Meet Me in Monaco is a glitter polish in a slightly tinted black base with medium sized silver and copper hex glitters and silver and copper micro-hexes. No issues with this one either. Application was great and the glitters spread nicely and laid perfectly flat on the nail. One coat of Poshe top coat over everything.

What do you think? Some of the more spendy main-stream brands are trying to get in on the glitter craze with limited success and Pure Ice just whips one out! Gotta love ‘em!

OPI Warm & Fozzie

I am so happy I found this.  It was on my wishlist since the very first time I saw it.  lol.  I speak like it's the love of my life.  It's not but it sure it pretty.

Warm & Fozzie is a bronze/gold foil with flecks of pink or red...i can't really tell.  This is so different from anything I own.  Formula wise, it was a little patchy so I needed 3 coats and I still got some dragging, but I don't think it's that noticable.
