Laser Crackle Mani

O. M. Gosh!  I promise I'm gonna stop being a bad blogger.  I skipped posting for, like, 3 days.  I apologize and I'm not going to give you some lame excuse.  I'm just not gonna do it again.  lol
I have so many complete mani photos so this is one I want to show you today.  I wanted to something kinda fun and cool so I thought I would freehand some vertical stripes in greens and purples and then cover it all up.  lol Naw but really, I just wanted to use my striping tape for this design and I wanted to see what the shatter looked like over the purple.  (:
WHAT I USED:
Zoya Cynthia
OPI Black Shatter
a lot of different greens
a lot of different purples

I know that doesn't help at all, but I completely forgot to take a photo of the base design, but it was basically just skinny vertical stripes that didn't look very good because I don't have a super steady hand.  lol  I think some of the ones I used were BB Couture Dark Knight, Julep Meryl, China Glaze Creative Fantasy, Sinful Sugar Rush, China Glaze Four Leaf Clover, Color Club Blue-ming, Color Club Hydrangea Kiss, and some others that I can't remember.  I used 5 greens and 5 purples so...yeah.
So what do you think of my crazy mani?  It's kinda all over the place.  Also let me know if you have any design or color requests.  I'd love to know what you've been waiting to see from P. G. R & R!

OPI Shatter the Scales

Everyone knows I love shatters and crackles of all brands and colors so of course I had to buy another.  And of all things to consider, it's GREEN!
This is OPI Shatter the Scales from the Spiderman Collection.  It is a dark, hunter green shatter with lots of shimmer.  I wanted to put it over something awesome so I used Urban Outfitter Silver Holo, but when I added the top coat, it went pretty blah.  I should know better by now than to add a top coat to my holos.  It just takes them so long to "recover" and regain that holo-y goodness.
There isn't really much to say about this polish except that it's awesome!  When I buy some shatters/crackles, they don't always crack nicely, but one thing I've noticed about all the ones I own...OPI has the best ones IMO.  They always crack quickly and have such a great pattern.  I've seen some others that don't have as wide of gaps when they spread.  It just makes it difficult to see the polish underneath and well, isn't that the point?
I know most bloggers are on either side of the fence with these.  How do you feel about shatters/crackles?  What are your favorite brands and color combos?  Leave all your comments in the box below!  (:

Girly Girl Challenge Day 4 - Inspired by the Runway

Welcome to the Girly Girl Challenge, Day 4 created and hosted by Lindsey of Neverland Nail Blog.

Day 4 is Inspired by the Runway - What is your favorite trend this season?  Show your stylish mani!
Ok, I will.
This is the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2012 runway show.  All the clothing and accessories are pastel (♥) and the shoes are metallic. I have always loved this combo and it brought me back to the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean collection and how I wished it had a yellow.  With that said, this is what I came up with.
Now that's what I'm talking about.  I used 2 coats of Love&Beauty Light Yellow (it's like banana pudding...mmm) and then added my OPI Silver Shatter on top.  Fin!  It was done very quickly and a little sloppy, but I feel like shatters and crackles can be sloppy.  I mean, they crack. /:

Sinful Colors Pinky Glitter on Crack

Stupid name!  Gorgeous glitter!  I don't understand why SC couldn't come up with a better name for such a pretty lady.  However that does not change the fact that I love it.  Pinky Glitter is great for layering, great for sponging, but I like to wear it on it's own.  And 3 coats later (no base color)...TA-DAAAA!
Since it is so pretty and such a girly glitter I like to "pop song" it out just a little more with China Glaze Crushed Candy.
I think it looks like I'm going to a baby shower, but whatev.  I think it's also really great for a non-traditional Valentine's mani.  Just throw a ♥ stamp or sticker on there, and you're good to go.

OPI Zom-body to Love

So just to start off, Halloween is my favorite holiday.  My birthday is one week before so that makes total sense right.  Seeing as how I love it so much, when all of the Halloween decor and costumes starts arriving in stores, I am all over it.  Especially when it comes to the cool nail polish sets that are introduced just like this little gem.  The duo is called "Pair 'em, Scare 'em" and it comes with a Black Shatter and a really cool glow in the dark green called Zom-body to Love.  Seriously I laugh everytime I say that.
Unfortunately my camera won't take a photo of it glowing in the dark but if you check out THIS post from My Simple Little Pleasures , you'll see what I'm talking about.

Have a happy, fun, and safe Halloween everyone.  I will be working so enjoy it for me.
