Pinterest Week Day 1

Welcome!  Welcome!  Welcome!

I'm sure you are all wondering what exactly Pinterest Week is.  Well I saw it on Kayla Shevonne's blog sometime last year (I think) and I thought it was a great idea.  The idea is to recreate manis that have been pinned on my Pinterest Beauty board.  I had so many which made it tough to narrow down to only 7, but I think you will really enjoy the one's I chose.

Day 1: My Nail Polish Online
The original manicure was created using the new OPI Mariah Carey Spring 2013 collection.  Then the blogger added some fun dots and glitter.
Since I don't have the OPI Mariah Carey collection, I used the closest polishes I had.

WHAT I USED:
pinky/pointer - Finger Paints Amethyst Atelier w/ Spoiled Jewelry Heist glitter
ring/thumb - Orly Rock the World w/ Finger Paints Amethyst Atelier dots
middle - OPI Sweet Memories w/ Orly Rock the World dots
I topped it all off with a coat of Gelous and a coat of Seche Vite and got some amazing photos.  I also added the original photo from My Nail Polish Online so you can see how my mani compares.
Let me know what you think?  Also if you have any requests of pins from my Beauty board, feel free to leave it in the comments below.  I don't have the whole week planned out yet so you've definitely got a chance to choose something awesome for me.

Crumpet's Sat-ART-day Club Presents Amethyst Skittles

Hi Everyone.

Having a great Saturday I hope.  I did so far eventhough I am working from home a lot today and tomorrow.  It's just going to make my week seem so much longer.  My wonderful boyfriend did take me out to a nice lunch at Potbelly and my sister came over for a bit.  Then I was free to work on my amethyst skittles mani.
So here is my skittle mani.  It's alright.  lol I just don't like the polish I used on my ring finger.  It's too much of a red toned purple rather than a blue toned one like the rest.  I tried to do my nails ombre and then do the art on top, but that one color just throws it off I think.
WHAT I USED:
pinky - Zoya Zara w/ Zoya Savina stripes
ring - China Glaze Señorita Bonita w/ Color Club Lavendarling and Zoya Savina roses
middle - OPI Can't Let Go w/ top coat
ring - Zoya Savina w/ Color Club Lavendarling polka dots
thumb - Ulta Love My Blackberry w/ China Glaze Señorita Bonita and Zoya Zara gradient
I am super excited for the rest of the Sat-ART-day themes so don't forget to check them out.
Feb 2 - Amethyst Skittles
Feb 9 - Away With the Fairies
Feb 16 - Dotting Tools
Feb 23 - 1960s

Have a great night!

More Skittles

Yep!  More skittles!  I just loved my blue mani so much that I wanted to do it again, but this time with pink and purple.
This is my right hand and I chose to do a v-french mani with pink rhinestones on my pinky and ring finger, grey stamping on my middle and thumb (seen in the photo below), and then heart-shaped glitter on my pointer.  Is it all over the place?  Yes!  Am I happy with it?  Yes!

On my left hand I chose a different combo which I am much happier with.  So, uh, you wanna know what I used?
WHAT I USED:
purple - Zoya Zara (another amazing purple from Zoya)
silver - OPI Designer...de Better!
grey - Julep Meryl (my fave grey polish right now)
heart glitter - Nicole by OPI Step to the Beat of MY ♥ (stupid Justin Beiber)
pink - Color Club Blushing Rose (not the best formula - patchy)
stamp - Bundle Monster plate BM-225

I think this is out of my system now, so I promise, no skittles tomorrow.  lol.  Have a wonderful night!

Skittles, Studs, and Stamps...Oh My!

I am terribly happy with today's manicure so let's see it.

I don't really know what to say about it except that it's pure awesome.  I thought it would be fun to use some stamping and glitter and studs all together.  I wish I had done a glitter gradient instead, but too little, too late I guess.  No big deal though.

Now here is my left hand and not the best one.  I am left-handed so it's a bit difficult to get things right.  That's why my studs are crooked.  Other than that, I'm happy with it.
WHAT I USED:
turquoise - Zoya Zuza with blue studs from Dollar Nail Art
blue - Zoya Song with OPI Pirouette My Whistle
silver - OPI Designer...de Better! with BM-201 stamping plate

I love this so much that I don't want to take it off, but I kind of do want to take it off so I can redo it in another color story.  lol  We'll see how long it lasts and then I'll decide.  So any thoughts?

V is for Valentine's Mani

This is my first successful tape mani and I love it.

First, I did two coats of each base color.  Then I just made a V shape with the tape and placed it on each nail in a different direction.  Then I applied the tip color and V is for Voila!

I think these are so cool.  They look so retro.

WHAT I USED:
No Name Franken - thumb
Love&Beauty Lavender - pointer
Jesse's Girl Fashion Friday - middle
Jesse's Girl Cupcake Frosting - ring
L.A. Girl Flare Hyper - pinky
Ulta High Roller - gold V
Jesse's Girl Party Dress - red V
