OPI Lincoln Park After Dark

God Morning Everyone!

I'm really excited to show you today's polish because I've had it forever and I wear it all the time, but I've never blogged about it. This is my all time favorite OPI polish and also my favorite Fall/Winter polish. The color is just so gorgeous and vampy.

I used two coats of this and if you don't already know, it applies so flawlessly. At first glance and to the untrained eye, it looks like just a black glossy polish. However it's actually a beautiful berry tone that (in my eyes) looks like plum or wine. I just love an almost-black polish. Oh and the gloss is with no TC. Awesome right?!

Anyway I hope this post turned out alright because I'm posting from my phone. I also used phone photos so let me know if they're okay.

My Halloween Challenge Day 4 - Happy Birthday to Me!

That's right!  Today is my birthday and I am 27.   I'm starting to really feel that old feeling everyday that I get out of bed.  It's alright though because my own family, who I saw this weekend for the first time in about 10 or 15 years, thought I was 19.  People tell me I look really young so awesome.
So I'm just gonna jump right into it and show you my very first sugar spun mani.   I know I didn't get it right, but I still think it looks really cool because it reminds me of cake icing. lol doesn't it?!

WHAT I USED:
Zoya Zuza - 2 coats for base
Spoiled Did I Dye It Too Blonde? - neon yellow
popBeauty - neon pink
OPI - sheer grey

So like I said, even though it's not perfect, I really love it. Oh and I'll probably never do it again. lol It's just such a mess and my polish wasn't really getting that stringy effect as much as I thought it would.  Maybe it's the one's I used.  Meh, who knows?

Zoya Stacy + Mixed Metals

Good Evening Lovely Followers!

First of all, I love you guys.  That's all.  lol Second of all, let's get this started because I'm sleepy and I need a bath first.

Zoya Stacy is a burgundy, berry wine color with a creme finish.  I used 2 coats, but could have done well with 3.  There was some dragging, but only because I didn't wait in between coats.
So basically, I painted my nails before work this morning, why you ask?  Well I get to the mall 2 hours early due to transportation arrangements and so I have plenty of time to do my makeup, enjoy my coffee, etc.  Well I went through the whole day without any chips and then in the last hour, BAM!  I really wanted to show you all this beauty too.  I just forgot how much I really loved it.  So anyway, I came home and striped on some Ulta High Roller and Ruby Kisses Silver Bling and voila!

Let me know what you think?

Pretty Jelly Sammy

Ok this is my second (and best) attempt at a jelly sammy so far.  You may remember the first one HERE.  It wasn't bad, but it sure wasn't good.  I decided to give it another go and I'm super happy about it.

I'm still not sure this is correct either, but I don't care because it's AWESOME!
WHAT I USED:
OPI Sweet Memories
Blackheart Multi Glitter ( I hate that it has no name)
OPI Sweet Memories again

So is this right?  Do you all like it?

My Halloween Challenge Day 3 - It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!

Very quick post today!  I just got home and I'm sleepy.
I'm not great at nail art but I sure can carve a pumpkin.  If only my nails were pumpkins (lol what?!)  So here they are...my tiny carved pumpkins.
So I tried to do the "cut-outs" of the eyes and mouth with glow in the dark polish, but they didn't want to glow once I completely finished.  I think I really dropped the ball on this one.  lol Just know that you've all been warned several times that I'm bad at nail art, however I keep on keeping on.  I'll keep giving you all mediocre nail art if you all keep stopping by.

My Halloween Challenge Day 2 - Sugar Coma

Yeah!  We made it day 2 which I have had planned since I created this thing.
My favorite candy is pretty much anything sour, but I chose Sour Skittles as my inspiration.
WHAT I USED:
pinky: CG Papaya Punch with Sinful Suede Shoes
ring: Zoya Pippa with Sinful Suede Shoes
middle: CG Sour Apple
pointer: Color Club Lavendarling with pop Aquatic Glitz
thumb: OPI Big Apple Red with Sinful Pinky Glitter

I hope you all like it, because eventhough it was super simple, this is one of my fave manis I've done.  Oh the white S was done with a nail art pen in case you wanted to know.

Sephora by OPI 212

Happy Sunday Everyone!

I hope you are all enjoying the amazing weather outside.  Here in Houston, it's a little gloomy and a little chilly.  My fave kind of day.  I just love to curl up in my bed with Netflix and polish and stay in all day on days like this.  What are your favorite things to do on a gloomy/chilly Sunday morning?

Today I have for you one of my favorite polishes, but I'm so sad I can't get amazing photos of it.  With my new apartment and living on a new side of town, I get to play with light a little bit so let's see what I got.
I don't know if you all see those creases on my ring finger.  They aren't from the bed sheets, but I've noticed I get them evertime I use my drying drops.  Has anyone else had this "problem" with drying drops?
I got this polish awhile ago, but have yet to wear it until now.  It's an olive green base with holo glitter and rainbow flakies.  I feel like it needs more flakies though so I may add a coat on tap and see what happens.  I mean, how bad could it be?
I just woke up so this isn't my best or most informative post, but at least you have pretty pictures.

My Halloween Challenge Day 1 - Fall Into Fashion

[EDIT: I FORGOT TO ADD MY INSPIRATION PHOTO FOR THE ACTUAL DESIGN SO HERE IS THE LINK...http://pinterest.com/pin/82612974385773234/]
Welcome to day 1 of my nail art challenge inspired by Halloween.  Halloween is the best holiday ever, October is the best month ever...I'm just excited.  I was so distracted at work all day because all I could think of was what mani am I going to do.  lol.

Well I decided and it didn't come out exactly like I had expected.   I'm not entirely pleased, but it is what it is.  I mean the idea of it was great in my head.

One of my favorite looks for fall is a pretty in punk type look.  Pastels mixed with studs and leather...ugh!  I love it.  I used Color Club Blue-ming for the base (♥ it!) and then I used Wet n Wild Purple Potion from last years Fantasy Makers collection.  I'm not crazy about the ones this year.  I also didn't have any studs so I used pyramid rhinestones and DONE!
The main issue was that Purple Potion doesn't sponge well.  I also couldn't find the normal stickers I used for half moons so I had to make my own.  The lines just look straight across.  Whatever I'm still pretty happy with it and I'm glad I get to wear for a few more days.  It is definitely going on my "redo" list.
I hope you all like it.  Let me know in the comments below.  haha that rhymes.

October Julep Maven Box

I haven't posted a Maven box opening in a while, and I thought this one was a good place to start up again.  I haven't been excited about one in a while too.
First of all, I love crackles so I so happy I got an ORANGE ONE!!  I don't even like orange, but I don't have a crackle that color, and it's pretty damn awesome.  Second of all, I see a little sneak peek of some candy corn in there.  I hate candy corn too, but I sure did eat it.  lol.
Here is what came in the Maven box:  Julep Eloise, Julep Sabrina (cute!), Quick Dry Polish Drops, orange and black glitter, and a baggie of candy corn.
This is Sabrina.  It is a shimmery orange crackle with the cutest name.  I mean, who doesn't love Sabrina?  I particularly like the old school comics best, but Melissa Joan Hart did a good job too.
I forgot to get a photo of Eloise before I put the crackle over it, but this is one coat (I used one coat on the above swatch as well).  It applied very easily, but the color reminds me of Zoya Cynthia.  I'm pretty sure they are not dupes, but I guess I could give it a go.

I did order an add-on polish, but I'm a little disappointed to find out that the add-ons come in a different shipment.  I think that's stupid, but whatever.  I know this wasn't as exciting as I could have made it, but that's the box.  I mean, I don't know what else to show you.
