Water Marble Wednesday

Better late than never right?  I had to work a mid shift today so my morning was spent making this happen and editing the photos and what-not, and now my evening is spent writing up the post.  (:  Enjoy it!
I really liked my last weeks mani with the marble and stamping combo so I did it again.  I know there is a lot going on and I don't care.  I love it!  lol
As you can see, I only did the marble on my pinky, ring and thumb fingers.  With the other 2 I did a 3-color gradient with stamps.  I chose cupcakes because the colors of the whole thing reminded me of sweet treats.  Mmm!  I tried to do 2 different colors for the cupcakes but it didn't quite work out.  The black "wrapper" is too dark and the blue "icing" on the other is too light, but whatevs.  I still think it's such a fun mani that those things don't matter.
When it was all complete I wasn't really digging the shine so I used a matte top coat and then I was 100% happy with the whole mani.  By the way, I used like 5 colors for the marble.  Crazy right?  I just love how the whole "rainbow" came out though.

WHAT I USED:
Sinful Colors Unicorn (not seen) - pastel yellow base color
Color Club Wing Fling - pink
Wet 'n' Wild 9021-Orange - orange
China Glaze Lighthouse - yellow - it didn't really show up ):
Color Club Fly With Me - light green
Color Club Metamorphosis - teal green
Love & Beauty Black Glitter
Bundle Monster plate bm-14

Wet 'n' Wild 9021-Orange Revisited

Not only am I not a fan of pink, but I'm not really a fan of orange either.  But every now and then I find one that I can't live without and this is the one.
This is Wet 'n' Wild 9021-Orange.  More like 9021-OMG!  This is the most gorgeous orange polish that I've ever seen.  I mean I'm a sucker for shimmers anyway and this one was calling my name.  It is so packed with shimmer that I'm blinded from staring at it.
The formula on this is great as are most shimmers, and it does apply very sheer but builds up nicely.  This is 3 coats.  It dries glossy too so you don't need a top coat if you are only wearing for a short time.
Oh and just a side note here: I tried to use this in a gradient with a lavender once just to see what happened and it showed up super gold.  Try it!  It's really pretty.

Pure Ice Pardon My French (pic heavy)

OMG!  I feel like I have been gone for so long.  I had so much to do since the weekend, and it's only Wednesday.  Let's see.  What's new with me?  I dyed my hair on Sunday so no more blinding, fiery red.  Now it's a plum kind of color.  It was an accidental blessing for sure.  Monday I went to see Marina and the Diamonds for the third time, but it just gets better and better each time.  If you are into "electro-pop," you need to see her.  She's my fave and amazing!  I even have a tattoo for her.  Yesterday, I went to my Paw Paw's house to decorate for Christmas.  He hasn't decorated in 8 years since his wife died, so I was so happy that I could do this for him, and then we had a lovely dinner of salad and frozen pizza.  lol.  Today I had to do last minute Christmas shopping, and now I am all yours.  Well my nails are anyway.

I knew that whatever I had for you today had to be good since I've been MIA, so I came up with Pure Ice Pardon My French.

So after rifling through the 50+ photos of this beauty, I settled on these three.  I think they show off how amazing it is the best.  Pardon My French is a black base with rose gold glitter in two different sizes: tiny and hex.  The glitter is saturated throughout that I didn't have to fish anything out of the bottle and it covered in 2 coats.  The formula is a little on the thick side but completely manageable.  I am so happy I didn't pass this up.  I told myself at Walmart to just put it back, but I knew I didn't have anything like it, AND it was the very last bottle.  No mistakes made here!  So then I decided to just play around with stamping and go crazy so here ya go.

Here is just used Wet 'n' Wild French White Creme and my Konad m13 plate to stamp (very crooked but) adorable little skulls on each nail.

Holy Cow!  Yeah!  Here I used my brand spankin' new Urban Outfitters Silver Holo and Bundle Monster plate bm11.  I mean enough said, right?!  I know that it's crooked and a little sloppy since I was just having fun, but man.  That holo is blinding and AMAZING!

Oh and I'll leave you with a video of Marina and the Diamonds.  Why?  Just for the hell of it, and because I'm still in the "after glow" from Monday's show.  lol
I want you all to have a great night and sleep well!

My Halloween Challenge Day 3 - It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!

Very quick post today!  I just got home and I'm sleepy.
I'm not great at nail art but I sure can carve a pumpkin.  If only my nails were pumpkins (lol what?!)  So here they are...my tiny carved pumpkins.
So I tried to do the "cut-outs" of the eyes and mouth with glow in the dark polish, but they didn't want to glow once I completely finished.  I think I really dropped the ball on this one.  lol Just know that you've all been warned several times that I'm bad at nail art, however I keep on keeping on.  I'll keep giving you all mediocre nail art if you all keep stopping by.

My Halloween Challenge Day 1 - Fall Into Fashion

[EDIT: I FORGOT TO ADD MY INSPIRATION PHOTO FOR THE ACTUAL DESIGN SO HERE IS THE LINK...http://pinterest.com/pin/82612974385773234/]
Welcome to day 1 of my nail art challenge inspired by Halloween.  Halloween is the best holiday ever, October is the best month ever...I'm just excited.  I was so distracted at work all day because all I could think of was what mani am I going to do.  lol.

Well I decided and it didn't come out exactly like I had expected.   I'm not entirely pleased, but it is what it is.  I mean the idea of it was great in my head.

One of my favorite looks for fall is a pretty in punk type look.  Pastels mixed with studs and leather...ugh!  I love it.  I used Color Club Blue-ming for the base (♥ it!) and then I used Wet n Wild Purple Potion from last years Fantasy Makers collection.  I'm not crazy about the ones this year.  I also didn't have any studs so I used pyramid rhinestones and DONE!
The main issue was that Purple Potion doesn't sponge well.  I also couldn't find the normal stickers I used for half moons so I had to make my own.  The lines just look straight across.  Whatever I'm still pretty happy with it and I'm glad I get to wear for a few more days.  It is definitely going on my "redo" list.
I hope you all like it.  Let me know in the comments below.  haha that rhymes.

Matte Gradient

Hola!!

I trust everyone had a great weekend.  I didn't do much.  Looked for a new apartment, cleaned, watched some movies, had a swatch party...ya know; the usual.  I have been wanting to use some of my new lovelies for some nail art so I thought a matte gradient would be fun.

So this is my AMAZING (if I must say) gradient mani.  This is only one of my new lovelies, but isn't she gorgeous?  I knew there was something missing after I did the gradient so I popped on some rhinestones in random spots and fell in love.  I didn't use the matte top coat when I was done because my cheapo gems look funny even after a shiny top coat.  They get that frosty look and it's ugly.  Since I didn't use a TC I know this mani won't last through the work day tomorrow or even through the shower I'm about to take.  I don't really mind though because I got my photos and I get to show all your beautiful people. (:

WHAT I USED:
WnW Black Creme - 2 coats
Hard Candy Mattely In Love - 1 coat over black
Sephora by OPI Mermaid to Order - gradient
1 turquoise gem
1 lime gem
1 small emerald gem

So that's what I came up with.  I can't wait to see what you all say about it.

Zoya Soho Punch

Wee!  I'm so excited about this one.  I have wanted this for so long and I finally got it from the Zoya Earth Day promotion.  I just couldn't wait any longer, and I'm so glad I didn't because it's even more gorgeous than I ever thought.  Especially over my Wet 'n' Wild black creme.

Soho Punch is part of the Glamsicles collection from 2010 (correct me if I'm wrong), and one day I will own them all.  I've shown Manhattan Mixer (also from this collection) on the blog before, but I didn't do a combo like this.  Look out for it soon, because I WILL be reswatching it.  SP is full of glass flecks in colors that I couldn't even see in the bottle.  I mattified it with Hard Candy Matte-ly In Love to see them better.

I see pink, purple, yellow, and few bits of green which I love, love, LOVE!  I hope you all love it as much as I do and support me in my search for the rest of the collection.

Have a great Sunday!

Water Marble Wednesday is on Fire

Literally!  Ashley of Smashley Sparkles and I agreed on a fire marble this week so I hope you checked hers out because mine is a total fail.

I'm not sure why it doesn't look like fire on the nail.  It looked super fiery in the water and I dipped in the best parts and then I got this.  The only one I like is my thumb nail even though it has a small vagina on it.  LOL.  Sorry but it does.

WHAT I USED:
Sinful Colors Firefly - one base coat
WnW Black Creme - black
OPI Big Apple Red - red/CG Ruby Pumps for my thumb
WnW 9021-Orange - orange
CG Lighthouse - yellow

What do you guys think?  Have you tried the fire pattern?

Wet 'N' Wild Gray's Anatomy Revisited

OOOH!  So let me tell you how much of a nerd I am.  Yesterday, I got off work, came home and set my TV reminder for the new episode of Grey's Anatomy.  (This is my all time favorite show.)  Next I took off my CG Dorothy Who? and proceeded to paint my nails in Wet 'N' Wild Gray's Anatomy just so I could be one with the show.  I know.  Lame, right?  Don't judge me.

Here is the best photos I could get of the pretty.  I was so gloomy outside yesterday.
