Girly Girl Challenge Day 8 - Girl's Just Wanna Have Fun!

Hey Everyone!

Thanks for joining me for the last day of the Girly Girl Challenge.  I have to say, a few of these were definitely a challenge.  I also want to thank Lindsey of Neverland Nail Blog for including me in this awesome challenge.

Day 8 is Girl's Just Wanna Have Fun! - It's true, we do!  Let your mani show us how fun-loving you are!  I'm so glad I hooked up with Ashley from Smashley Sparkles yesterday because I nabbed so super fun polishes to use for this mani.
Some of my lines got a little rough but eh, who cares?  I wanted to do brighter colors, but I do have an interview tomorrow so I had to keep it somewhat "appropriate".

WHAT I USED:
OPI DS Sapphire - 2 coats
Zoya Savita - tips with tape
white rhinestones

Hope you guys like these other challengers too!

Girly Girl Challenge Day 7 - Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice

Ya know I don't think I've ever been made of sugar; just mainly spice, lots of spice.  (:  Thanks for joining me today for this post of the Girly Girl Challenge.

Day 7 is Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice - That's what little girls are made of.  Show off your sweet (or spicy) inspired nails.
I didn't really know what to do for this one.  This is a franken I made called I Like the Nightlife and it's got so much glitter in it, it's really "sugary".  Then I added a french tip with Sinful Colors What's Your Name? and there you have it.  A sugar packed mani.

Girly Girl Challenge Day 6 - Who Ispires You?

Welcome!  Let's get started with Day 6 of the Girly Girl Challenge!

Day 6 is Who Inspires You? - Show some love to your favorite female role model by creating gorgeous nails in their honor.  Soooo in honor of my mom...
This is the mani I created for her.  I put sunflowers on it because this was always her favorite flower.

WHAT I USED:
Franken Peggy Jean - 2 coats and HERE is yesterday's post if you want to know why I used this color.
CG Papaya Punch for the sunflower base
CG Lighthouse for the actual yellow color
F21 Love&Beauty light yellow to lighten up the color of the sunflower
Zoya Codie with a dotting tool for the center
black nail marker for the letters

I'm actually really please at how this came out.  I know she would love it.  I know you will love these other bloggers too!

Girly Girl Challenge Day 5 - Gotta Love Chick Flicks!

I sure do and so I was really excited to get this one started.  I'd had this planned since we all started this challenge. lol!

Day 5 is Gotta Love Chick Flicks! - We just CAN'T resist!  Wear a mani inspired by your favorite chick flick.  Mine is and will forever be Confessions of a Shopaholic!

The main thing I wanted to use for inspiration was her outfits throughout the film, and if you haven't seen this yet, YOU NEED TO!  But even better are the books.  They will make you laugh out loud.  It can be really embarrassing.  The whole series is fantastic and I wish they were all movies too.  Anyway, here is my crazy mani.
My pinky is terrible but inspired by the outfit Rebecca wore on the Morning Coffee Show.  My ring finger is based on the iconic "psyche defining" green scarf and the gold mannequin that convinces her to buy it.  My middle finger is horrible, but anyway, it's a take on her interview outfit at Successful Saving in which she wore a plaid cape.  And lastly my pointer finger is the jacket she wore to the magazine ball.  The real one had pink in it but I made mine green.  I hope this made some sort of sense.  I mean, if you've seen it you know.

WHAT I USED:
CG Senorita Bonita
CG Flip Flop Fantasy
Zoya Loredana
Zoya Mitzi
pop Gold Glitz
Julep Oscar
Color Club Metamorphosis

Girly Girl Challenge Day 4 - Inspired by the Runway

Welcome to the Girly Girl Challenge, Day 4 created and hosted by Lindsey of Neverland Nail Blog.

Day 4 is Inspired by the Runway - What is your favorite trend this season?  Show your stylish mani!
Ok, I will.
This is the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2012 runway show.  All the clothing and accessories are pastel (♥) and the shoes are metallic. I have always loved this combo and it brought me back to the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean collection and how I wished it had a yellow.  With that said, this is what I came up with.
Now that's what I'm talking about.  I used 2 coats of Love&Beauty Light Yellow (it's like banana pudding...mmm) and then added my OPI Silver Shatter on top.  Fin!  It was done very quickly and a little sloppy, but I feel like shatters and crackles can be sloppy.  I mean, they crack. /:

Girly Girl Challenge Day 3 - Delicate and Elegant

Hello! Hello! Hello!

Today is the 3rd day of the Girly Girl Challenge created and hosted by Lindsey of Neverland Nail Blog.

Day 3 is Delicate and Elegant - Adorn yourself with a lovely pattern, color, or technique.  To be honest I was not really feeling this one mainly because I am neither delicate nor elegant in any sense of the word.  So I decided if I do them all [lovely pattern, color, or technique], what could go wrong?
Low and behold, NOTHING went wrong.  I am so pleased with how these came out.  I love the butterflies too.  I think I for sure chose the right color for the stamp.
WHAT I USED:
Zoya Dannii - 2 coats
OPI Designer...de Better! - gradient on tips
Zoya Minka - butterfly stamp
BM stamp 205

I really hope you all love this mani as much as I do.  I can't wait to see everyone else's.  You can check them out below.

Girly Girl Challenge Day 2 - Gimme That Bling

Welcome to Day 2 of the Girly Girl Challenge hosted and created by Lindsey from Neverland Nail Blog.

Day 2 is Gimme That Bling - Diamonds are a girl's best friend, so put some sparkle on those nails!
This is Hard Candy Fabuluxe and it's pretty blingin' I think.  OMG!  That's about all I could say once I got this on my nails.  OMG!  It's even better in person.  Fabuluxe is fuchsia glitter and a small amount of purple glitter in a fuchsia base.  It applies very uneven and my tips are extremely rough.  It didn't eat my top coat though.  I only had to apply 1 coat of Seche Vite and it was pretty smooth.

I applied 3 coats to get it all even, eventhough parts of it were opaque in 2 coats.  So yes I'm admitting that the application was a little difficult, but I still stand behind it.  You have to fight to get it right!

I am soooo not looking forward to taking this off.  It's going to be hell even with the foil method and I refuse to use acetone on my nails.  We'll see how that goes. :\

Girly Girl Challenge Day 1 - Think Pink

Today marks the first day of the Girly Girl Challenge hosted by Lindsey from Neverland Nail Blog.  I wanted to participate because I haven't done one before and I'm not super girly, so this will inspire me to do something different.

Day 1 is Think Pink:  Wear your favorite pink polish and nail art. My favorite pink to-date is my new OPI Sweet Memories so here's what I created.
If that's not girly, I don't know what is.  I created a corset on two accent nails and then added some shimmer and a cutesy bow.  So what do you think?

WHAT I USED:
OPI Sweet Memories on the full nail
Black Kiss Nail Art for details
Julep Brooke for purple shimmer
Kiss 3D bows

Please check out these other great bloggers who are participating in the Girly Girl Challenge as well.
